LAKESIDE CHAMBER’S 14TH ANNUAL SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS IS DEC. 1
November 29, 2012 (Lakeside) – Lakeside Chamber of Commerce’s 14th Annual Spirit of Christmas on Maine Ave. is December 1 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The lighting of the community Christmas tree will highlight the event. Santa will be in attendance for photo opportunities as well.
The event will feature local school performances, kid activities, jumpy jumps, rides and crafters booths. The event is free to attend.
TRICK OR TREAT ON MAINE IN LAKESIDE OCT. 31
October 26, 2012 (Lakeside) – The 2nd Annual Trick or Treat on Maine, sponsored by the Lakeside Chamber of Commerce, will take place October 31 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Local businesses and organizations will be passing out candy and flyers. Bring the ghosts and goblins for a safe trick or treat experience.

Rodeo , parade and more highlight frontier town’s annual event
April 15, 2011 (Lakeside) – Rodeo has been a tradition in Lakeside since the first rodeo was held back in 1920. Since then, Lakeside Western Days has broadened to encompass a series of eventsApril 15-17 celebrating the community’s Wild West heritage.
Each day’s rodeo performances include seven events: saddle bronc riding, tie down roping, team roping, steer wrestling, bull riding, and barrel racing. Other events, including Saturday’s Western Days Parade sponsored by the Lakeside Chamber of Commerce, are also slated.
HERE COMES SANTA CLAUS: LAKESIDE’S SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS ON MAINE DEC. 4
December 3, 2010 (Lakeside) –Santa Claus is coming to town, arriving in Lakeside for the 12th annual Spirit of Christmas on Maine Avenue this Saturday, December 4th, Festivities will be held from 1 to 6 p.m., with a community tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m.
The Lakeside Chamber of Commerce invites you and your family to visit with Santa and enjoy holiday music, a petting zoo, hay rides, jump area for kids, games, a Blackhawk helicopter, Christmas shopping, food, and entertainment.
YEE-HA! LAKESIDE COMMUNITY EXPO AT RODEO GROUNDS PROVES CROWD-PLEASER FOR YOUNG AND OLD
February 3, 2010 (Lakeside) – Gunshots rang out on Saturday at the Lakeside Rodeo Grounds, where historical re-enactors from the Hole in the Wall Gang staged a mock Western-style shootout. Members of the Victorian Roses Ladies Riding Society looked on, clad in elegant period attire.
It was all part of the Lakeside Community Expo sponsored by the Lakeside Chamber of Commerce.
