LOCAL CHAMBERS TO PRESENT "POLITICS IN PARADISE" IN NEW FORMAT

June 15, 2016 (San Diego's East County) – Local chamber of commerce groups in San Diego’s East County will jointly present “Politics in Paradise” from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 30, at the Water Conservation Garden at Cuyamaca College, 12122 Cuyamaca College Dr. West, El Cajon. Chambers supporting the event include the San Diego East County Chamber, Lakeside Chamber, Santee Chamber and Alpine Mountain Empire Chamber. Also supporting the event is the San Diego East County Economic Development Council (ECEDC).

Beans ‘n’ Beers Seeking Chili Cooks, Vendors, Sponsors For October 17 Community Event

September 24, 2015 (Lakeside)--The Lakeside Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its 3rd annual Beans ‘n’ Beers event on Saturday, October 17 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Lakeside Rodeo Grounds. The FREE event features an amateur chili cook-off, children’s activities and petting zoo, live musical and dance performances, beer tasting, local food vendors, and much more!

August 4, 2015 (Lakeside)--The Lakeside Chamber of Commerce will host a “Business Appreciation Evening” from 5 to 8 p.m.,Thursday, Aug. 20, at the Carter-Smith V.F.W. Post #5867, 12650 Lindo Lane, Lakeside. Admission is free. All Lakeside business owners and employees are invited to attend. Refreshments will include food samples and desserts from local eateries.

COUNCILWOMAN BONNIE LACHAPPA NAMED CITIZEN OF THE YEAR BY LAKESIDE CHAMBER

 

July 12, 2013 (Lakeside) -- The Lakeside Chamber of Commerce has named Bonnie LaChappa as the 2013 Lakeside Citizen of the Year with their Harry J. Spence Award. Bonnie, a lifelong Lakeside resident and an elected member of the Barona Band of Mission Indians Tribal Council, is well known for her tireless volunteerism in the East County community.

“Giving back and sharing have always been a big part of our Barona Tribal culture,” said Clifford LaChappa, Chairman of the Barona Band of Mission Indians. “We are very proud of everything Councilwoman LaChappa has done in the community to earn this meaningful award.”

November 29, 2012 (Lakeside) – Lakeside Chamber of Commerce’s 14th Annual Spirit of Christmas on Maine Ave. is December 1 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.  The lighting of the community Christmas tree will highlight the event.  Santa will be in attendance for photo opportunities as well.

The event will feature local school performances, kid activities, jumpy jumps, rides and crafters booths.  The event is free to attend.

YEE-HA! LAKESIDE COMMUNITY EXPO AT RODEO GROUNDS PROVES CROWD-PLEASER FOR YOUNG AND OLD

 

 

February 3, 2010 (Lakeside) – Gunshots rang out on Saturday at the Lakeside Rodeo Grounds, where historical re-enactors from the Hole in the Wall Gang staged a mock Western-style shootout.  Members of the Victorian Roses Ladies Riding Society looked on, clad in elegant period attire.

 

It was all part of the Lakeside Community Expo sponsored by the Lakeside Chamber of Commerce.
