HOUSE FIRE DISPLACES EIGHT PEOPLE IN LEMON GROVE

 

May 14, 2015 (Lemon Grove)--At approximately 7:51 p.m., Sunday, May 3, Heartland Fire & Rescue crews in Lemon Grove, responded to reports of a structure fire in the 25-hundred block of Pergl Street. Upon arrival firefighters found heavy smoke coming from a single-story structure at 2523 Pergl Street.

July 13, 2014 (San Carlos) The “Trails Fire” scorched 90 acres at the Mission Trails Park today. The fire started near the Junipero Serra Trail near the visitor center and was first discovered and reported to fire officials by the Bieker family from El Cajon.

July 22, 2010 (San Diego) – Two-year-old Bentley Do’s family lives just one block from a San Diego Fire-Rescue Department Station. But the station’s crew was filling in for another Mira Mesa station’s personnel as part of city-ordered “brown-outs” to save money.

BRUSH FIRE CONTAINED IN OTAY MESA HAD SUSPICIOUS CAUSE

February 15, 2010 (Otay) 6:15 p.m.  – San Diego Fire Department has contained a brush fire to 1.5 acres in a river bottom near old Jana Ranch Road, just south of Otay Lakes Road. “We initially dispatched two type-1 engines, then added a type-3 engine and a helicopter,” said dispatcher Mike Young.
