EL CAJON DOCTOR PLEADS GUILTY TO SEXUAL ASSAULT, EXPLICIT PHOTOS OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN

July 31, 2015 (El Cajon)—Dr. Jeffrey Joel Abrams, an El Cajon doctor, has pled guilty to sexually assaulting patients while working at Volunteers in Medicine, a low-income clinic on Madison Avenue in El Cajon.

SWEET RETREAT TO BENEFIT VOLUNTEERS IN MEDICINE MAY 4TH

 

April 29, 2013 (La Mesa) – The La Mesa Rotary will host Sweet Retreat on May 4th to benefit Volunteers in Medicine and other East County non-profit organizations at the Visitor and Interpretive Center at Mission Trails Regional Park, 1 Father Junipero Serra Trail, San Diego.  The event featuring gourmet desserts, appetizers, wine and beer will be from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and include a silent auction.

GROSSMONT HEALTHCARE DISTRICT SUPPORTING VOLUNTEERS IN MEDICINE WITH $150,000 GRANT

November 19, 2911 (El Cajon) -- The Grossmont Healthcare District (GHD) board of directors has unanimously voted to approve a $150,000 grant to Volunteers in Medicine – San Diego, Inc. (VIM), a non-profit that brings together medical professionals and patients who don’t have health insurance.

PROGRAM TO HELP UNINSURED IN EAST COUNTY GETS $100,000 GRANT FROM GROSSMONT HEALTHCARE

 

The Grossmont Healthcare District (GHD) board of directors has unanimously voted to approve a $100,000 grant to Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) to help cover expenses for X-ray and ultrasound tests, as well as diagnostic lab fees and medical supplies, for uninsured East County residents who are treated at an El Cajon clinic by retired physicians and nurses who donate their time.
