MAN ARRESTED FOR KILLING BROTHER IN EL CAJON

WOMAN FATALLY STABBED IN EL CAJON

June 21, 2021 (El Cajon) – El Cajon Police detectives are investigating the stabbing death of a woman who appeared to be homeless found sitting in a pool of blood at a bus stop at East Madison Ave. and Walter Way Wednesday night at 6:40 p.m. 

“Officers arrived and began CPR. The victim appeared to have been stabbed at least one time,” says Lieutenant Keith MacArthur.

POLICE SEEK HELP TO IDENTIFY SECOND POSSIBLE SUSPECT IN FATAL EL CAJON STABBING

July 29, 2018 (El Cajon) – A man stabbed in front of a 7-11 store in the 700 block of Jamacha yesterday afternoon died after being transported to a local hospital, says Lt. Walt Miller with the El Cajon Police Department. 

Soon after the stabbing, reported at 2:05 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a burglary at an apartment in the 1200 block of north Mollison.  They took a burglary suspect to a hospital  for medical issues unrelated to his arrest, according to Lt. Miller.

“Investigators are exploring the possibility that this suspect may be related to the stabbing based on a physical description provided by witnesses,” said Miller. That suspect’s identity has not been released. However a second suspect may still be at large.

CITIZENS HELP POLICE NAB SUSPECT AFTER STABBING OF 75-YEAR-OLD MAN IN EL CAJON

July 26, 2018 (El Cajon)—A 75-year-old man suffered multiple non-life threatening stab wounds tonight in an attack at Second Street and East Madison Avenue in El Cajon. Witnesses called police at 7:55 p.m. to report the victim was on the ground near the intersection.

The suspect fled west on Madison, says Lieutenant Jason Taub, adding, “Witnesses were able to keep the suspect under observation and advise the police department of his current location.”

MAN SUFFERS LIFE-THREATENING STAB WOUNDS IN EL CAJON

June 1, 2018 (El Cajon) – El Cajon Police seek public help to identify suspects in a stabbing overnight that left the victim with life-threatening injuries, according to Lt. Jason Taub with El Cajon Police Department.

Police responded to a call shortly before 2 a.m. from a caller who said an acquaintance was “bleeding out,” and then hung up.

WOMAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER IN EL CAJON

 

July 12, 2013 (El Cajon) -- Lynmarie Rodriguez, 29, of Chula Vista has been charged with attempted murder for reportedly stabbing a man at his home at 1696 Buckeye Drive in El Cajon.  According to El Cajon Police Lieutenant Frank Haye, investigators found that the woman had "attempted to rob the victim when the altercation occurred."

BOY, 10, SUSPECTED IN FATAL STABBING OF 12-YEAR-OLD FRIEND

January 16, 2012 (El Cajon)—A 12-year-old boy has died of stab wounds in a crime that has shocked a neighbors on Royal Road in the unincorporated area of El Cajon.  The  suspect is a 10-year-old boy, Lt. Larry Nesbitt with the Sheriff's Homicide Detail confirms.

A neighbor, Derek Gorton, 18, told 10 News that the boys were close friends, but indicated that the younger child suffered from severe emotional issues. “Even though he threw temper tantrums, we never thought he’d do anything like this,” he said.

TEEN STABBED IN EL CAJON


December 14, 2011 (El Cajon) – El Cajon Police are seeking a young man with spiked blond hair and a goatee who reportedly stabbed an 18-year-old at 4:42 this afternoon in a suspected gang-related crime.

The suspect wore a black jacket, white T-shirt, blue jeans and black and white Converse shoes. He was described as white, age 17-20, six feet tall with weight approximately 170 pounds.

GUNFIRE, STABBING IN EL CAJON ENDS WITH 19 DETAINED

 

September 27, 2010 (El Cajon)—El Cajon Police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire around midnight. Upon arrival, they found a man stabbed and beaten outside an apartment on Cuyamaca Street near Vernon Way, where a large fight had occurred. A six-hour standoff ensued. According to ECPD Lt. Tim Henton, officers believed whoever fired the gun was inside, along with possible shooting victims.
