February 9, 2022 (La Mesa) -- The annual Cupids & Canines MEGA Adoption Event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Grossmont Center shopping mall, 5500 Grossmont Center Drive in La Mesa.

About two dozen animal rescue agencies and shelters are expected to bring nearly 300 adoptable dogs and cats to the mall looking for prospective homes as part of the event put on by the San Diego Animal Support Foundation.

August 15, 2019 (San Diego) - If you’re looking to add a furry friend to your life, consider one of our fabulous felines like Jessie, Damsel, or Joplin. Or one of our devoted dogs like Millie. They’re all at San Diego County Department of Animal Services shelters in Bonita or Carlsbad. And it won’t cost you a thing to take them home this Saturday, Aug. 17, for Clear the Shelters Day.

October 2, 2011 (El Cajon)—El Cajon Animal Shelter currently has a large population of kittens, cats and dogs available for adoption. “At this time there are a large number of small dogs, perfect for apartments or homes with small yards,” says Monica Zech, public information officer for the City of El Cajon. “The shelter also has two bunnies available for adoption.”

JINGLE PAWS WALK & MORE DOG-GONE FUN DEC. 4

 

November 10, 2010 (El Cajon)--The Second Annual Jingle Paws Pet Walk and adoption event, sponsored by the ACES Foundation (Animal Center for Education and Services) and Camp Bow Wow, will be held on Saturday, December 4.  The event runs 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wells Park, 1153 E. Madison Avenue in El Cajon.

 

Following a brisk 9 a.m. walk around the park, pets and their owners can enjoy Santa's Village filled with fun pet  activities, vendors, goodies, and adoptable pets--just in time for the holidays.
