“DREAM DOGS” COLUMNIST/ SHELTER OWNER NEEDS HELP TO PAY EMERGENCY VET BILLS DUE TO DOG ATTACK

February 22, 2012 (San Diego’s East County) -- ECM columnist Cate Sacks, owner of the local shelter rescue and dog training company, Shelter Dogs to Dream Dogs, is no stranger to odd animal antics. But bad behavior hit close to home when Scooter, her seven-pound pet Maltese, was mauled by a stranger dog while out in public with the family.

The attack left a two-inch hole in Scooter's chest cavity and lungs. He also almost lost his eye and more.

DREAM DOGS LOOKING FOR FOREVER HOMES

By Cate Sacks

November 12, 2011 (Blossom Valley) -- News from Facebook, Therapy dog Howard has passed all the training to become a therapy or service dog. This boy is simply awesome. He is gentle, submissive and kind. I have never heard him bark, and he is happy just "being"..whether than means with the other dogs, people, children or just by himself. He is a young boy who has been rounded off to a year old. His body is that of a boxer but his look is that of a chesapeake bay retriever...an amazing combination that is hard to find. He sleeps quietly in his crate and learns quickly.

DREAM DOGS TODAY

By Cate Sacks

June 8, 2011 (Blossom Valley) -- When a dog comes to Dream Dogs, sometimes it is sad and submissive, or unable to be controlled, and some were said to be unadoptable by the shelters. At Shelter Dogs to Dream Dogs, those behaviors are all turned around. Let Dream Dogs know what you want, and soon your dream dog will be there for you.

For example:

SMOOTH COATED, DRY MOUTH 3 YEAR OLD PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED PUREBRED ST. BERNARD.  This great boy knows his commands, is great with other dogs and loves people.  He is patient and loyal who bonds very closely to his family.  He lives on 3 acres and chooses to spend time next to our kitchen glass door when sleeping outside, and he always comes when called.   He is looking for a home who can give a wonderful lifestyle to such a gentle giant.
