STROLLERS RECALLED DUE TO FINGER INJURIES AND AMPUTATIONS

May 19, 2011 (Washington D.C.) – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a voluntary recall of one million Maclaren Strollers sold before November 2009 due to fintertip lacerations and amputations.
Consumers who have not yet obtained the repair should do so immediately. The stroller's hinge mechanism poses a fingertip amputation and laceration hazard to the child when the consumer is unfolding/opening the stroller.
