December 15, 2016 (Washington D.C.) – Here’s some bad news for holiday chefs:  the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announces a voluntary recall on blades of approximately 8 million Cuisinart food processors sold nationwide from July 1996 through December 2015 and manufactured in China.

WALMART RECALLS GE FOOD PROCESSORS DUE TO FIRE HAZARDS & LACERATIONS

 

May 26, 2011 (Washington D.C.) - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Walmart, has announced a voluntary recall of 255,000 food General Electric food processors.  The USCPS has received dozens of complaints that the units began smoking and in some cases, resulted in fires or injuries to hands.
