HISTORY COMES ALIVE WITH SAN PASQUAL BATTLE REENACTMENT DEC. 2

November 29, 2012 (Escondido) – The 2012 San Pasqual Battle Day will be held on December 2 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a flag-raising at 10 a.m.  The Battle re-enactments will be at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.  Other activities will include craft demonstrations, period music & dancing, children’s activities and a military equipment.  Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

The free event is cosponsored by the California State Parks and the San Pasqual Battlefield Volunteer Association (SPBVA) and is located at the San Pasqual Battlefield State Historic Park, 15808 San Pasqual Valley Road, Escondido.

SAN DIEGO ARCHAEOLOGICAL CENTER BBQ JUNE 2

May 18, 2012 (Escondido) – The San Diego Archaeological Center will be celebrating 10 years in San Pasqual Valley with its annual BBQ on June 2, from noon to 5:00 p.m. at 16666 San Pasqual Valley Road, Escondido.  The catered event will include smoked pork sandwiches, beans, coleslaw, drinks and dessert for $6.00.

July 31, 2011 (Cleveland National Forest) – On Saturday, August 13, the San Diego Archaeological Center will host a presentation on volunteer opportunities including the Cleveland National Forest heritage program, “Passport in Time.” The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the San Diego Archaeological Center, 16666 San Pasqual Valley Road in Escondido.
