WOMAN ROBBED AT GUNPOINT IN LA MESA

January 16, 2014 (La Mesa) – Last night at 7 p.m., La Mesa Police received a 911 call from a woman who had just been robbed at gunpoint  in the 7600 block of Normal Avenue by two young men in black ski masks who stole her purse.

La Mesa Police officers and San Diego Police Department’s ABLE helicopter responded within minutes of the crime.  Officers quickly set up a perimeter and searched the area, but did not locate the suspects. No one was injured during the incident.

Both suspects are described as black male adults in their late teens or early 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, 170-180 pounds.  Both wore black hooded sweatshirts, dark jeans and black ski masks. One suspect had short braided hair.
