July 10, 2017 (San Diego) - Recent San Diego State graduate Sirene Blair (South Jordan, Utah) has earned a spot on the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team for her performance in the classroom during the 2016-17 academic year.

May 25, 2017 (San Diego) - Former San Diego State All-American Emma Henrikson (Malmö, Sweden) has earned a spot in the 2017 U.S. Women’s Open Championship after finishing second in her United States Golf Association (USGA) sectional qualifier Monday in Scottsdale, Arizona.

May 10, 2017 (Lubbock, Tex.) - The San Diego State women’s golf team saw its season come to a disappointing conclusion on Wednesday after finishing in 11th place at the 2017 NCAA Lubbock Regional. The Aztecs fired a collective 10-over-par 298 during the final round for a 54-hole total of 892 (+28) on the par-72, 6,593-yard Rawls Course.

May 8, 2017 (Lubbock, Tex.) - The San Diego State women’s golf team sits in sixth place at the 2017 NCAA Lubbock Regional after firing a collective 10-over-par 298 on Monday during the opening round at The Rawls Course on the campus of Texas Tech University.

May 3, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State women’s golf and volleyball programs were publically recognized by the NCAA today for their outstanding academic achievements. The recognition comes on the heels of their most recent multiyear Academic Progress Rates (APR), which were both in the top 10 percent of their sport.

April 27, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State women's golfer Fernanda Escauriza (Asunción, Paraguay) was named Mountain West Freshman of the Year as the league announced its postseason awards on Thursday. In addition, Escauriza garnered second-team all-MW accolades, joining first-team selections Sirene Blair (South Jordan, Utah) and Georgia Lacey (Del Mar, Calif.) to give the Aztecs three all-conference honorees in the same season for the fifth time in head coach Leslie Spalding’s six-year tenure.

April 27, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State women's golf team received word of its postseason destination on Thursday when the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Committee announced the Aztecs will compete in the NCAA Lubbock Regional, May 8-10, in Lubbock, Texas. SDSU garnered the No. 8 seed for its seventh regional berth in the last eight years and 14th overall since the regional format was introduced in 1993.

April 19, 2017 (Rancho Mirage, Calif.) - San Diego State’s Fernanda Escauriza (Asunción, Paraguay) captured the individual title at the 2017 Mountain West Championship on Wednesday after shooting a 2-under-par 70 during the final round at Mission Hills Country Club. With her total, the Aztec freshman completed the event with a 54-hole total of 6-under 210 to become the program’s first-ever medalist in a conference tournament.

April 9, 2017 (Tempe, Ariz.) - The San Diego State women’s golf team finished in a tie for 10th place at the PING/ASU Invitational on Sunday after shooting a collective 13-over-par 301 during the final round at Karsten Golf Course. With their score, the Aztecs completed the 41st annual tournament with a 54-hole total of 27-over 891, along with Missouri and LSU, on the par-72, 6,337-yard track.

With their total, the Aztecs find themselves nine shots out of the top five with a 54-hole score of 14-over 590 heading into Sunday’s final round on the par-72, 6,337-yard layout.

March 21, 2017 (Rancho Santa Fe) - The San Diego State women's golf team capped off the 2017 SDSU March Mayhem match-play event with an eighth-place finish after dropping a trio of 3-2 decisions on Tuesday at The Farms Golf Club. The Aztecs experienced a narrow setback to Mountain West rival Fresno State in the completion of Monday's suspended second round, followed by a pair of close defeats to Old Dominion and Northwestern, respectively, in consolation play.

February 28, 2017 (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) - The San Diego State women's golf team finished in ninth place at the Bruin Wave Invitational Tuesday after shooting a collective 23-over par 315 during the final round at San Luis Obispo Country Club. With their score, the Aztecs completed their second tournament of the spring with a 54-hole total of 61-over 937 on the par-73, 6,357-yard course layout.
