December 11, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State senior Rashaad Penny (Norwalk, Calif.) continued to rack up the postseason accolades when he was named a first-team All-American by both the Associated Press and the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) on Monday.

December 8, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State women’s basketball team suffered its first home loss of the season in heartbreaking fashion on Friday, falling to UC Irvine by a narrow 67-65 count in front of 4,148 fans at Steve Fisher Court.

December 7, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State senior Rashaad Penny (Norwalk, Calif.) was named a Walter Camp Second-Team All-American, as announced Thursday by the Walter Camp Football Foundation. He also earned second-team accolades from SB Nation, after earlier in the day garnering first-team honors from Sports Illustrated, All-American and Bleacher Report.

December 5, 2017 (San Diego) - Another fun-filled SDSU athlet press conference awaited the media and this week, football offensive coordinator Jeff Horton, defensive coordinator Danny Gonzales, sophomore running back Juwan Washington, senior defensive lineman Sergio Phillips and junior safety Parker Baldwin had a bowl game to talk about.  They appeared along with men's basketball head coach Brian Dutcher and women's basketball head coach Stacie Terry.

December 4, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State’s McKynzie Fort (Fontana, Calif.) has been named Mountain West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for a pair of exceptional performances in the Aztecs’ victories over San Diego and Arizona. With her award, the SDSU senior collected her third career weekly award and the Aztecs first of the season.

December 2, 2017 (San Diego) - Following a big win at Jenny Craig Pavilion against USD on Thursday night, SDSU men’s basketball finally returned home for a Sunday matinee against the 7-1 Bradley Braves as part of the annual Mountain West-Missouri Valley Challenge.  In case you were wondering, Bradley is a private university in Peoria, Illinois with 5,400 students.  This is the first time the Aztecs have seen the Braves since 1967.

December 3, 2017 (Tucson) - Senior McKynzie Fort scored a season-high 26 points to help the San Diego State women’s basketball team to a 78-67 conquest of Arizona in a nonconference game Sunday at McKale Center.

December 3, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State football team has accepted an invitation to play Army West Point in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 23 at 2:30 p.m. CT. The game will be played at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas, and will be broadcast nationally by ESPN.

In addition to seven regular-season home games, the Aztecs’ challenging slate features matchups with four schools that qualified for the NCAA Tournament last year, as well as two conference finalists.

November 30, 2017 (San Diego) -  San Diego State University has revealed its development plans for a 35,000-seat multi-use stadium at the 166 acre site in Mission Valley currently occupied by SDCCU Stadium and its surrounding parking lot. Today’s announcement comes one day after the University released its detail plan for the entire Mission Valley site.

November 28, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State women’s soccer seniors Stacie Moran and Aliyah Utush were named to the 2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I All-West Region Team. Moran landed on the first team, while Utush was a second-team selection.

November 27, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State volleyball team had four players earn all-Mountain West honors as announced Monday by the league office. In a vote of the conference’s 11 head coaches, Deja Harris (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Devyn Pritchard (Temecula, Calif.) were both named to the all-MW team, while and Baylee Little (Gilbert, Ariz.) and Alexis Cage (Newport Beach, Calif.) received honorable mention.

November 27, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State true freshman Tariq Thompson (San Diego/St. Augustine HS) has been named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. It is the first career weekly honor for Thompson.

November 27, 2017 (Fullerton) - Finally, the Aztecs men’s basketball team got their first day of rest at the Wooden Legacy.  Tonight, they had another late game, but it was worth staying up for; the title game against Washington State in the two squads’ first meeting since 2006.

November 24, 2017 (San Diego) - Rashaad Penny didn't take it personally that he was snubbed by the Doak Walker Award selection committee.

He just went out and ran 22 times for 203 yards and two touchdowns in his final regular-season game to crack the 2,000-yard mark and lead San Diego State to a 35-10 victory against New Mexico on Friday.

November 20, 2017 (San Diego) - Aztecs men’s basketball is undefeated at home and 2-1 overall, a much better start to the season than last year.  Tonight they played host to the Eastern Illinois Panthers in an exhibition game.  The Panthers are known for churning out ex-Dallas Cowboys quarterback turned analyst Tony Romo, so no one’s really heard of their basketball team.  But we’d see them tonight.

November 19, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State senior Rashaad Penny has been named the Walter Camp National FBS Offensive Player of the Week for the second time of the season, the Walter Camp Foundation presented by Generation UCAN announced Sunday. Penny, who also won the award on Sept. 10 for his play at Arizona State, is the only Aztec to win the offensive player-of-the-week award and just the second on either side of the ball (also linebacker Calvin Munson on Sept. 6, 2015).
