February 17, 2018 (Las Vegas) - The San Diego State men’s tennis team ended three weeks of frustration with its first victory of the season after rallying for a 4-3 triumph over UNLV on Friday in the Mountain West opener for both squads at Fertita Tennis Complex.

February 17, 2018 (Irvine) - T-No. 14 San Diego State opened its fourth-straight Golden Coast Conference regular-season title defense with a 12-5 road victory at Concordia on Friday afternoon. The decision moved the Aztecs to 5-4 (1-0 GCC) on the season, while the Eagles fell to 3-2 (0-1 GCC).

February 17, 2018 (San Antonio) - The San Diego State swimming and diving finished the third day of competition at the Mountain West Championships on Friday and currently stands in third place (734.5 overall points) heading into the final day of competition at the Palo Alto College Aquatic Center.

February 17, 2018 (San Diego) - The San Diego State women’s tennis team started its day off strong claiming the doubles point but ultimately lost speed in singles against USC, falling 5-2. Today’s loss is the third straight for the Aztecs.

February 16, 2018 (San Diego) - The San Diego State baseball team kicked off its 2018 campaign in commanding fashion, defeating UC Santa Barbara, 9-1, on Friday night at Tony Gwynn Stadium.

Logan Boyer, a preseason all-MW selection, impressed in his first start of the season, going 3.2 innings with a career-high eight strikeouts. After Boyer started his evening inducing a 6-3 groundout, Boyer went on to strikeout the next four Gaucho hitters he faced.

February 16, 2018 (San Diego) - North Dakota State tied the game with a run in the top of the sixth inning and scored an unearned run in the seventh to rally past the San Diego State softball team 2-1 Friday night at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Bison improved to 4-3 with its second win of the day at the 28th annual Campbell/Cartier Classic, while the Aztecs dropped to 1-8 with their sixth straight loss.

February 15, 2018 (San Diego) - The San Diego State softball team was shut out by No. 25/25 Kentucky 5-0 Thursday night in the opener of the 28th annual Campbell/Cartier Classic at SDSU Softball Stadium.

Zaria Meshack, Taylor Stewart and Molly Sturdivant each had a hit and a walk for the Aztecs, who fell to 1-7 with their fifth straight loss.

February 15, 2018 (San Antonio) - The San Diego State swimming and diving team stands in second place after the second day of the Mountain West Championships at the Palo Alto Aquatic Center. The Aztecs currently have 451.5 total points after Thursday’s events, trailing MW championship leader Boise State (491 points) by 39.5 points.

February 15, 2018 (San Antonio) - The San Diego State swimming & diving team capped off the first day of the Mountain West championships with a share of first place with Nevada, owning 189 total points.

The Aztecs recorded a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay, with Alma Thormalm, Caitlin Delany, Summer Harrison and Klara Thormalm teaming up to post an SDSU season-best time of 1:38.69 – just .46 seconds behind first-place finisher Boise State.

February 15, 2018 (San Diego) - It may be Valentine’s Day, but it felt more like this year’s V-Day competition, Ash Wednesday, inside Viejas Arena as two Mountain West rivals squared off in men’s basketball.  The Aztecs greeted the Cowboys of Wyoming, who rank third in the Mountain West.

February 15, 2018 (Laramie, Wyo.) - The San Diego State women's basketball team fell at Wyoming 70-50 Wednesday evening at the Arena-Auditorium in Laramie, Wyoming. The Cowgirls (17-7, 10-3 MW), the conference's best three-point shooting team, went 13-for-27 from behind the arc and used a 20-0 first half run to give them a double-digit lead the Aztecs (10-14, 4-9 MW) couldn't recover from.

February 14, 2018 (Riverside) - The San Diego State softball team was unable to get things going offensively in a 4-1 loss at UC Riverside Wednesday afternoon in Riverside, Calif. The Aztecs dropped to 1-6 with the loss, while the Highlanders evened their record to 3-3.

February 13, 2018 (Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.) - The San Diego State women’s golf team completed its first tournament of the spring in 18th place at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge after posting a combined 24-over-par 308 during the final round at Palos Verdes Golf Club.

February 12, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State lacrosse midfielder Harlowe Steele was selected Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Offensive Player for her clutch performance in the Aztecs’ dramatic 12-11 victory at California on Sunday. With her award, the SDSU junior garnered the second weekly conference accolade of her career.

SDSU fell to 4-4 on the season, while UCD improved to 7-5.

February 11, 2018 (San Diego) - No. 18 San Diego State used a second-half surge to defeat 23rd-ranked CSUN, 8-5, Sunday morning at the Triton Invitational at nearby UC San Diego. The Aztecs secured a spot in the fifth-place game and moved to 4-3 with the result. CSUN, meanwhile, dropped to 5-4.

February 11, 2018 (Alberquerque) - Bonnie Draxler tied the school record in the pole vault, clearing 14-01.25 (4.30m) as the Aztecs wrapped up the Don Kirby Collegiate Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. Ashley Henderson also had another strong performance, finishing the 60-meter dash in 7.19 seconds, just 0.02 seconds off her school record set last year.

February 10, 2018 (San Diego) - After a heartbreaker Wednesday afternoon against Fresno State, the lady Aztecs took to Steve Fisher Court again this afternoon to try again in a matinee against Nevada in the “Pink Game” for Play4Kay Day at Viejas Arena.  The lady Wolf Pack are a vastly different team than the Bulldogs; seventh in the Mountain West and in a slump; 11-11 overall and 4-7 in league.
