April 22, 2018 (San Diego) - The San Diego State baseball team clinched a series win over Fresno State on Sunday while posting the first shutout of the 2018 season, defeating the Bulldogs, 7-0, at Tony Gwynn Stadium Sunday afternoon. SDSU improves to 26-14 and 10-7 in the Mountain West to own sole possession of second place in the league, while fifth-place standing Fresno State drops to 23-16 overall and 9-12 in MW play.

April 22, 2018 (San Diego) - The San Diego State baseball team fell on Saturday night, 7-4, as the series with Fresno State stands even heading into tomorrow's rubber game. The Aztecs stand at 25-14 with a 9-7 league record -- still good for second place in the Mountain West -- while Fresno State leaps to 23-15 with a 9-11 league record.

April 20, 2018 (San Diego) - Led by 14 strikeouts by the San Diego State pitching staff and a 3-for-4 day from Dean Nevarez, the SDSU baseball team defeated Fresno State, 3-2, at Tony Gwynn Stadium Friday night. The Aztecs improve to 25-13 and move into second place in the Mountain West at 9-6, while Fresno State falls to 22-15 with an 8-11 MW mark.

April 17, 2018 (San Diego) - The San Diego State baseball team scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to erase a 2-0 deficit and defeat CSUN, 3-2, at Tony Gwynn Stadium on Tuesday night. SDSU, which jumps back into Mountain West play this weekend at home against Fresno State, is 24-13 on the season while CSUN drops to 17-19.

April 16, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State freshman right-handed pitcher Casey Schmitt was named Mountain West Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon. 

Schmitt becomes the first freshman to win Mountain West Pitcher of the Week since Bubba Derby earned the award on Feb. 18, 2013. Schmitt is the eighth SDSU freshman in league history to earn MW Pitcher of the Week.

April 15, 2018 (San Diego) - The San Diego State baseball team claimed a non-conference series win against Cal State Fullerton on Sunday afternoon, defeating the Titans 9-6 at Tony Gwynn Stadium. SDSU improves to 23-13 on the season while CSF falls to 17-17.

April 14, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State baseball is rolling, but they haven’t had the greatest luck in conference play.  Tonight they played game two of a weekend series against CSU Fullerton.  Freshman Tommy Wilson started for Fullerton against junior transfer Garrett Hill.

April 8, 2018 (Colorado Springs, Colo.) - The San Diego State baseball team ended its Mountain West series at Air Force on a positive note Sunday, defeating the Falcons 15-6 with the help of 19 total hits, four home runs, and seven total extra-base hits. SDSU improves to 21-11 (8-6 Mountain West), while Air Force falls to 14-17 (7-8 Mountain West).

April 3, 2018 (Lake Elsinore) - San Diego State starting pitcher Harrison Pyatt took a no-hitter bid into the eighth inning before surrendering his first and only hit of the game in SDSU baseball's  5-1 victory over Long Beach State at Lake Elsinore Diamond on Tuesday night. SDSU earns its 20th win of the season and improves to 20-9 overall, while LBSU drops to 11-18 on the season.

April 2, 2018 (San Diego) - The San Diego State baseball team erased a pair of deficits in a 6-4 victory over Washington on Monday afternoon. SDSU improves to 19-9 on the year while Washington drops to 13-12.

Justin Goossen-Brown logged another successful start for the Aztecs, going 5.1 innings on the mound for SDSU, allowing just one earned run and four hits allowed.

March 27, 2018 (San Diego) - Redshirt junior designated hitter Chad Bible of the San Diego State baseball team was named Mountain West Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon. For the week, Bible went 9-for-19 (.474) with three home runs, a double, and seven RBIs to help push SDSU to a 3-1 showing a week ago.

March 25, 2018 (Las Vegas) - The San Diego State baseball team exploded for 22 runs and 23 hits in a 22-7 drubbing of UNLV on Sunday, leaving the Aztecs with its fifth consecutive weekend series win and now have sole possession of second place in the Mountain West, sitting just a half-game back of Nevada (7-2 MW), which defeated Fresno State earlier today. The Aztecs improve to 16-7 on the year (6-2 MW), while UNLV falls to 20-5 (6-3 MW).

March 19, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State infielder Jordan Verdon was named one of nine Collegiate Baseball's National Players of the Week, it was announced Monday morning

In San Diego State's week, which featured a 3-1 record over four road games, Verdon hit .471 (8-for-17) with six doubles and nine RBI. In each of the four games, Verdon recorded at least two hits, one RBI, and one extra-base hit.
