September 6, 2017 (San Diego) - Jose Martinez made the Padres his personal whipping boys last night and guess what? He’s in the lineup again tonight!  Hopefully the Padres know how to deal with him now.  Jack Flaherty started game three for the Cardinals against Dinelson Lamet.

The Padres finally cracked the ice in the fourth with a homer by Yangervis Solarte for a 1-0 lead.

But Stephen Piscotty--whose last name rhymes with biscotti--took it away in the seventh with a two-run homer to put the Cardinals ahead 2-1.

Harrison Bader drove in another run on a sac fly in the eighth to give the Cardinals the 3-1 win to win the series.

The series finale is tomorrow at 6:10 p.m.  Lance Lynn starts for the Cards against Clayton Richard.
