July 8, 2017 (Philadelphia) - Austin Hedges came up big when the Padres needed him yesterday. Who would be the star tonight, if any?  Game two against the Phillies was on, with Jhoulys Chacin on the mound against Aaron Nola for the Phillies.

It was a low-scoring affair.  Mikael Franco started the scoring with a homer in the first to give the Phillies a 1-0 lead.

The Padres did their scoring in the seventh and it got them the lead and the win.  Carlos Asuaje tripled to score Hunter Renfroe and Austin Hedges once again came through with a single that scored Asuaje and the Padres took a 2-0 series lead with a 2-1 win.

Wake up early because game three is at 10:35 a.m. tomorrow.  Trevor Cahill starts against Jerad Eickhoff for the Phillies.
