September 23, 2017 (San Diego) - Rebuilding.  Just keep reminding yourself that as the Padres finish off this season. Chad Bettis started tonight for Colorado against Jhoulys Chacin.

The Padres decided to try winning again as Yangervis Solarte singles in the fifth to score Wil Myers to give the good guys a 1-0 lead.

They added one more on Christian Villanueva’s single that scored Cory Spangenberg to give the Padres the 2-0 lead.

The Padres tacked on three more, first in the eighth when Erick Aybar grounded into a fielder’s choice that allowed Spangenberg and Austin Hedges to score.  Manuel Margot hit a sac fly that sealed the 5-0 win for the Padres in game three and gave the good guys a series lead once more.

The season finale with the Rockies is at 1:40 p.m. tomorrow.  German Marquez starts for Colorado against Luis Perdomo.
