July 10, 2018 (San Diego) - It’s day two and don’t expect the Padres to be successful against the Dodgers.  They weren’t last night.  Rich Hill started tonight for L.A. against Eric Lauer.

Tonight, the Padres did in fact get the upper hand.  In the fifth with no outs, Austin Hedges blasted a three-run homer to left.  Wil Myers followed with a solo blast to left center.

Max Muncy made a last-ditch effort in the ninth with a two-out solo homer to left center that took away Lauer’s shutout and kicked him out of the game, but to no avail.  Two straight home runs gave the Padres an easy 4-1 win to even up the series at one game apiece.

Game three tomorrow night is at 7:10 p.m.  Kenta Maeda starts for L.A. against Joey Lucchesi.
