COUNTY DOCTORS SHARE TIPS TO KEEP YOU HEALTHY DURING FLU SEASON

October 24, 2023 (San Diego) - San Diego County doctors share the top 6 tips to help you fight winter viruses and stay healthy.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends everyone 6 months and older get a flu shot every year. It takes about two weeks for immunity to develop, so get vaccinated early.

COUNTY REPORTS SLIGHT UPTICK IN FLU CASES

February 17, 2022 (San Diego) - The County Health and Human Services Agency is reporting 34 new lab-confirmed influenza cases, a slight uptick from last week when 26 cases were reported.

COUNTY LAUNCHES FLU VACCINATION CAMPAIGN

 

 

Nearly 100 people got immunized today at a clinic where the County Health and Human Services Agency officially kicked off the 2017 flu vaccination campaign.

This is the 14th year in a row the County has worked with the San Diego Black Nurses Association to vaccinate people in San Diego’s southeastern community at no cost.
