VETERAN OWNED NONPROFIT ‘3 PAWS UP’ TEAMS UP WITH RADYS CHILDRENS HOSPITAL FOR “HOLIDAY TOY DROP OFF DAY” DEC. 14

December 5, 2018 (San Diego) – 2014 Veteran of the Year for the 71st District of San Diego and Award-winning Author Karolyn Smith announced that her nonprofit, 3 Paws Up, has teamed up with Rady’s Children’s Hospital and will attend this year’s Rady’s ”Holiday Toy Drop Off” event on December 14th from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. With a gracious donation from the Julian Arts Guild, 3 Paws Up will be donating 25 copies of “Sophia the Bionic Cat” to Rady’s kids.

November 17, 2018 (Santee) — The 2018 Santee Holiday Lighting Celebration was held on November 16th at Santee Trolley Square.  At 6:15 p.m., with thousands watching, the tree was lit with accompanying fireworks.

November 10, 2018 (Campo) -- The famous North Pole Limited returns to celebrate the holiday season at the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum in Campo. Aboard the historic 1920s train, Santaelves will sing Christmas carols, read a popular holiday story, passing out cookies and hot chocolate to allthen stop at Santas workshop to pick up Santa and Mrs. Claus.

November 1, 2018 (La Mesa) - The La Mesa Village Association will present Holiday in the Village December 7th   from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and 8th from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.  You’re invited to stroll through the streets of La Mesa’s historic downtown to enjoy live music and dance, cozy fires, craft vendors, food, and a kids' area with holiday movies and activities.

There will also be fire pits, caroling and more in the spirit of the season.

DONATE TOYS FOR LA MESA MILITARY FAMILIES TOY DRIVE

October 22, 2018 (La Mesa) -- Make the holidays special for military children and families that live in La Mesa military housing. La Mesa Chamber of Commerce is gathering toys, diapers and items for children between the ages of 2 - 13 years old. The Chamber will host a toy drive party at BJ's restaurant in Grossmont Center on December 4th from 5:30 - 7 p.m. to celebrate. Bring a new, unwrapped toy and join in the fun!
