June 23, 2017 (San Diego) - The Padres lost two out of three to the Cubs, but they did win the season series.  Now it’s time to come home and have an interleague weekend series with the Tigers.  Michael Fulmer started on the mound for Detroit against Luis Perdomo.

Despite Fulmer’s growing ace status, the Padres were able to overcome him.  Starting in the second, Austin Hedges doubled to score Cory Spangenberg to give the Padres a 1-0 lead.  And believe it or not, one run was all it took to knock off the slumping Tigers and take game one of the homestand.

A rare late start for a Saturday night:  7:10 p.m.  Anibal Sanchez starts for Detroit against Dinelson Lamet.
