May 10, 2018 (San Diego) - SDSU softball is struggling along into their last home series of the season against Utah State.  Freshman Delaney Hull started for the Aggies against sophomore Marissa Moreno for the Aztecs.

The Aztecs had a lot of opportunities to score in the early going, but came up empty.  Finally, in the fourth, Iesha Hill finished the job. The senior grounded into a double with the bases loaded to score two runs and give the Aztecs a 2-0 lead.  And for once, great pitching and defense led the Aztecs to a 2-0 win to take a series lead. Moreno pitched a complete game, one-hitter (her no-hitter spoiled by freshman Leah Molina’s single in the seventh) shutout with a career-high-tying five strikeouts as she earned her third shutout of the season.

Tomorrow’s game two is at 6:00 p.m. Stay tuned to @ECMagSports to find out if ECM Sports will have coverage of game two or game one of San Jose State vs. SDSU baseball, also at 6:00 p.m.
