May 17, 2018 (San Diego) --  Construction crews will close all lanes of northbound State Route 163 (SR-163) between Interstate 8 and Genesee Avenue Monday, Tuesday and possibly Wednesday night from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. The closure is needed so can remove the bridge abutments on the Friars Road overcrossing including the sign panels. The work closure includes the possibility of closing all lanes of southbound SR-163, within the same project limits, Wednesday night from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. At no time will the freeway close in both directions at the same time. The work is part of the SR-163 Friars Road Interchange Project.

May 10, 2016 (San Diego) -- Caltrans crews will close all westbound lanes on State Route 52 (SR-52) from Interstate 15 (I-15) to Convoy Street Wednesday and Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. to repair pavement dips.
