October 15, 2023 (Lakeside) -- On Saturday, September 30, Lakeside Fire Protection District held its annual Open House featuring department trucks and an ambulance, a Sheriff department K9 demonstration, a REACH helicopter landing, face painting for kids, a dunk- a-firefighter booth and agencies with booths and demonstrations. The event brought a full house of guests, with firefighters serving hot dogs and hamburgers to the crowd of smiling faces.

CAL FIRE DEDICATES WARNER SPRINGS STATION

 

April 28, 2012 After more than 60 years of service, the Warner Springs Fire Station has been replaced by a state of the art facility. The $2.7 million dollar facility was funded by a state bond.

ALPINE FIRE BOARD MEMBER STEPS DOWN; DISTRICT SEEKS REPLACEMENT

 
March 3, 2012 (Alpine) – On February 21 at the Alpine Fire District Board meeting, long-time Alpine Fire Protection District Board member Ron Fuller resigned his position due to health issues. The District is currently seeking interested individuals to fill out Mr. Fuller's term which runs through November of this year. Interested individuals must be at least 18 years of age, a resident of the District and a registered voter. Applications can be picked up at the Fire Station at 1364 Tavern Road or down loaded from the Districts website at: http://www.alpinefire.org. The AFPD Board will review all applications at its March 20 Board meeting.

VEHICLE FIRE DAMAGES RADIO STATION VAN

 
February 2, 2012 (El Cajon)—The driver of a KSON radio station vehicle smelled smoke while sitting in traffic yesterday in downtown El Cajon. Looking behind his seat, he saw flames, quickly exited the vehicle and called 911 shortly before 2 p.m. yesterday.
