NEW FRUIT ORCHARD IN SPRING VALLEY FOR ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES

 

April 26, 2015 (Spring Valley)--In honor of International Rotarians at Work Day, members of the La Mesa Sunrise Rotary broke ground Saturday, April 26th, on a new fruit orchard for the residents of Noah Homes, a nonprofit in Spring Valley celebrating 30 years of residential care, community advocacy and collaborative services for adults with developmental disabilities.

LA MESA SUNRISE ROTARY’S GIGANTIC GARAGE SALE FUNDRAISER JUNE 9

June 8, 2012 (La Mesa) – The La Mesa Sunrise Rotary is having a Gigantic Garage Sale Fundraiser on June 9 from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 6210 Lake Shore Drive, La Mesa.  Items being sold include electronics, household items, tools, fabric, décor, high fashion clothing, plants and much more.  The premium items will be in a “boutique corner”.

HELPING HANDS IN SANTEE

April 30, 2012 (Santee) -- Swarming like bees all over an area of the San Diego River Trail in Santee, close to 400 local members and friends of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints joined together on Saturday, April 28 to participate in the annual “Mormon Helping Hands” day of service. Volunteers of all ages performed duties such as trail maintenance, fencing installation, concrete breakdown, weed abatement, painting, laying down mulch, litter removal, water primrose and tamarisk removal and overall beautification tasks of the area.

STRIKE! BOWLING FOR CHARITY MAY 11

April 21, 2012 (La Mesa) – La Mesa Sunrise Rotary Club is sponsoring its annual Bowling Tournament on May 11, 6:00 p.m. at Parkway Bowl, 1280 Fletcher Parkway, El Cajon.  All funds raised will benefit the programs of the La Mesa Sunrise Rotary Foundation which includes the Lexington Ave. Peace Patrol, support for local foster families, literacy and nutrition programs locally and abroad, bringing clean water to a village in Kenya and more.
