January 8, 2014 (La Mesa) – In order to create a cleaner environment for our community, the La Mesa Chamber of Commerce is hosting a free electronic waste (e-waste) recycling collection event on Saturday, January 11 and Sunday, January 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be held in the parking lot of Grossmont Center between Chuze Fitness and Fuddruckers, 5500 Grossmont Center Drive in La Mesa.
The event is a free service to everyone to properly dispose of your old TV's, computers, printers, and other approved items, and at the same time, help reduce improper and illegal dumping in our city and landfills.

November 3, 2012 (El Cajon) – Brotherhood Lions Club is holding a free e-waste recycling event at the El Cajon Home Depot that ends Nov. 4. The event is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 298 Fletcher Parkway, El Cajon. Unwanted, obsolete or broken televisions, computer monitors, LCD’s or laptops turned in to e-waste collection are eligible for a chance to win prizes. The prizes include 10 $25 Home Depot gift cards, 10 $25 VISA gift cards and 20 $10 VISA gift cards.

April 27, 2012 (Santee) -- The Santee Chamber is sponsoring an e-waste recycling event April 28-29 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Costco Wholesale Parking Lot at 101 Town Center Parkway, Santee.The items that are accepted include computers, TV’s, monitors, laptops, wires, stereos, radios, phones, small printers/copiers, VCR’s, DVD players, etc.Items not accepted include household batteries, household appliances and lightbulbs.
