SANTEE VISIONS: HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS' ART SHOW FEB. 20

 

February 19, 2015 (Santee)--The West Hills and Santana High School Art Departments will present a student art show entitled “Santee Visions”, an art show reflecting the community of Santee in the eyes of students from West Hills and Santana High Schools.

October 7, 2014 (San Diego’s East County) --This week’s Destination East County features an art show, a vintners’ harvest festival, a Fair Trade holiday sale, and the Pumpkin Express complete with a haunted train, among other attractions. Plus we’ll have a preview of some big events coming up later this month, from an Enchanted Garden Gala to the Borrego Days Desert Festival and HauntFest on Main Street.

BIZ CENTER ART BECOMES ON THE EDGE GALLERY

 

NEW SHOW “VALENTINES REVISITED” FEB. 15

February 3, 2014 (La Mesa) – Biz Center Art has become On The Edge Gallery as of January 1 as a result of a change in landlords.  The gallery is still managed by the same people in the same building which is now managed by the Business Center of La Mesa.

24TH ANNUAL FINE ART SHOW AT OLDE RAMONA HOTEL GALLERY

August 28, 2013 (Ramona) – The Olde Ramona Hotel Gallery is getting ready for its 24th Annual Fine Art Show.  Artists are encouraged to participate in the show and entries are due September 26 through 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 845 Main St., Ramona.  There is a maximum of three entries per artist.  Categories include: oil/acrylic, watercolor/watermedia, photography/computer art and other (collage, pen & ink, pastels, sculpture, graphics, other media.

EAST COUNTY WOMEN WIN TOP TWO ART AWARDS

January 22, 2013 (San Diego’s East County) – Joan McKasson and Joan Merrick were awarded first and second places respectively in the San Diego Watercolor Society’s January show “New Beginnings”. The juror, Carol Mansfield, complimented both paintings for their expert use of watercolor along with their strong colors and designs.

ARTIST LEENA HANNONEN TO SHOW CURRENT WORK AT WYNOLA PIZZA

January 20, 2012 (Julian) -- Leena Hannonen, long time Pine Hills resident and artist who has mastered a variety of art forms ranging from sculpture to art photography, will display a collection of her latest and best work at Wynola Pizza beginning January 31.

She has shown her photos, jewelry and sculptures at the Julian Library and participated in several Julian Art Guild show. She also operated her own gallery in Wynola for several years.

ART SHOW AT THE WIEGHORST MUSEUM BEGINS JULY 3

July 3, 2012 (El Cajon) – The Wieghorst Museum Foundation is hosting an art show from July 3 through August 31, every Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The participating artists include Jack Jordan, James Kermott, Mark Martensen, Ross Provence and Grace Schlesier.
