April 18, 2017 (San Diego) – The San Diego Advertising Fund for Emergencies (SAFE) will host its annual fundraising party from 5 to 9 p.m. this Thursday, April 20, at the Karl Strauss Tasting Room and Beer Garden, 5985 Santa Fe St., San Diego. SAFE is a volunteer, non-profit organization providing confidential financial assistance to local advertising and marketing professionals and their families facing a life crisis emergency.

SYCUAN CASINO IS HELPING ADVERTISING INDUSTRY WORKERS FACING LIFE CRISIS

March 18, 2013 (El Cajon) – Sycuan Casino in El Cajon has agreed to serve as presenting sponsor of the 12th annual San Diego Advertising Fund for Emergencies (SAFE) fundraiser and party from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, at the Ivy Rooftop Lounge atop the Andaz San Diego, 600 “F” St., in the Gaslamp District in Downtown San Diego.

SAFE is a volunteer, non-profit organization (501c3) that provides confidential financial assistance to local advertising and marketing professionals and their families facing a life crisis emergency. The fundraiser will feature food, networking, entertainment and a silent auction to benefit SAFE grant recipients. Cost to attend is $50 per person, $30 per person for students, or $70 per person at the door. For tickets and more information, visit www.aboutsafe.org.

SHERIFF NOTIFIES RESIDENTS OF VIOLENT SEX OFFENDER IN VALLEY CENTER

 

February 15, 2013 (Valley Center)-- Sheriff's Deputies went door to door in Valley Center this morning to inform the community about a former Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) now living in their neighborhood. Mark William PLISKA reported to the Valley Center Sheriff's Substation on February 6th. He is now living at 15236 Woods Valley Road #41, Valley Center. 

Deputies and members of the SAFE or Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement Task Force notified 110 homes within a half-mile radius of Pliska's mobile home. Deputies also notified the principals of Valley Center Elementary and Valley Center Middle Schools, which were closest to Pliska's residence. Pliska relocated to Valley Center from Escondido. He is current with his registration and a county probation officer will monitor his compliance.
