STATE DEPT. ISSUES TRAVEL ALERT FOR MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA DUE TO POSSIBLE AL QAIDA ATTACKS

August 4, 2013 (Washington D.C.) – The U.S. State Department has issued a worldwide travel alert warning U.S. citizens about the potential for terrorist attacks in the region during August in the Middle East and North Africa.  The alert comes on the heels of prisoner break-outs in several countries believed to be tied to Al Qaida. 

In addition, Interpol has issued a global traveler’s alert due to terrorism concerns.
