ARSON FIRE AT SPRING VALLEY MOBILE HOME PARK: 2 TEENS SOUGHT BY AUTHORITIES

June 27, 2016 (Spring Valley) – A fire that damaged mobile home in the Lamplighter Village mobile home park at 10767 Jamacha Boulevard in Spring Valley early yesterday morning was intentionally set, says John Debus with the San Diego Sheriff’s Department. (Note corrected address issued by Sheriff.)

Update October 19, 2011: The San Diego Medical Examiner reports the body was a 65-year old man who died of smoke inhalation.  His identity has not yet been released.

PRESCHOOL EVACUATED DUE TO BRUSH FIRE: ARSON SUSPECTED

 

June 17, 2010 (Spring Valley) – The KinderCare preschool was evacuated today due to a brush fire that began shortly before 1 p.m. Firefighters From San Miguel Fire quickly got the blaze under control, which began near 10130 Rothgard Road in Spring Valley. Investigators say the fire was arson.

 

The fire, which also threatened several structures around a canyon area, was stopped as it moved onto the playground area. On another flank, the fire was stopped as it moved into a defensible space buffer created just yesterday by a resident.

BOATLOAD OF TROUBLE: FIRE CHIEF WITNESSES ARSON ACT IN SPRING VALLEY

 

 

March 15, 2010 (Spring Valley) – Timing is everything, as an arsonist found out the hard way this morning. Shortly before 7:30 a.m., a San Miguel Fire battalion chief driving in the 3400 block of Sweetwater Springs  noticed a man toss something at a boat parked in a home's front yard. An instant later, the 20-foot ski boat erupted into flames.
