• Have a system in place for attracting potential customers to the exhibit.
• Qualify those people who visited the booth.
• Follow up with those visitors who left contact information.
The fact is that exhibiting successfully at a trade show means developing good pre-show plan to ensure that the people with whom you would most like to make contact know you will be there and have a reason to come visit your booth.
November 30, 2010 (Washington D.C.) By a 73-25 vote, the Senate has approved S.510, the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act. California Senators Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein voted for the bill, which aims to protect consumers following widespread outbreaks of e-coli and salmonella involving foods such as spinach, eggs, peanut butter. Those outbreaks results in deaths and thousands of illnesses. The bill will next be heard by the House, which is expected to pass the bill and send it to President Barack Obama to be signed into law.

November 30, 2010 (San Diego) – The Drug Enforcement Agency(DEA)'s Narcotics Task Force in San Diego, in partnership with local law enforcement, seized over 378,243 marijuana plants county-wide in 2010. More than half (294,175) were removed from public lands—including U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management properties utilized by hikers, campers, and other members of the public.

November 30, 2010 (Lemon Grove) – A fire reported shortly after 4 a.m. in the 2000 block of Massachusetts Avenue in Lemon Grove caused an estimated $100,000 in damage to a garage and its contents. . After attempting to douse the blaze with a fire extinguisher, the resident alerted other family members, who evacuated safely.
November 29, 2010 (La Mesa) -- All but one eastbound lane on I-8 at Spring Street have been shut down late tonight due to football-sized rocks spilled by a dump truck, CHP reports. A Sig-Alert has been issued, along with a long-term closure order in order to clean up the debris.

November 29, 2010 (La Mesa)—A Heartland Fire & Rescue engine from La Mesa was driving northbound on Bancroft Drive when crew members smelled a strong odor of natural gas yesterday morning. The fire crew stopped to investigate the smell and determined that there was gas coming from underground at 5033 Bancroft Drive.

November 27, 2010 (Lakeside) – Lakeside Fire Protection District received a report of a paraglider that had experienced a rough landing at the Blossom Valley Glider Port, resulting in injuries to the pilot. A rescue response was dispatched, including one structural engine, one rescue unit , an ALS ambulance, and Battalion Chief Lawler.

Discovery leads to arrests and significant marijuana seizure
November 27, 2010 (Otay Mesa)—More than 20 tons of marijuana have been seized and eight people have been arrested following discovery of the second major cross-border tunnel found in the past two weeks. The half-mile-long tunnel links an Otay Mesa warehouse to a residence in Tijuana, Mexico.
