February 16, 2023 (San Diego) - The Aztec women’s basketball team (21-8, 11-5) fell to Wyoming 70-58 inside Viejas Arena Saturday afternoon. SDSU led by 15 points early in the third quarter, but the Cowgirls scored 50 second half points while shooting a blistering 79 percent from the floor in the second half to come back and steal a win.

The Aztecs won the doubles point and Johannes Seeman advanced to 4-0 on the season in singles with a victory on the top court but San Diego State was bested 5-2 by the Lions.

The Aztecs (7-1) beat UC Riverside, 7-4, before shutting out 2022 NCAA tournament team LMU, 3-0, in the nightcap.

SDSU had two players score four goals: Deanna Balsama and Brook Waddell. In addition to Balsama and Waddell’s scoring efforts, five additional Aztecs, Katelyn Murphy, Mia Kohn, Emma Betts, Cailin Young, Kate Christos, and Sara Toner, each scored a goal.

February 8, 2023 (Spring Valley) - Prep soccer is almost coming to an end and tonight, in the second-to-last game of the regular season, the Granite Hills Eagles headed out to Spring Valley to face Mount Miguel.  The Matadors are barely staying above water, at 9-9-3 overall and 3-2-1 in the Grossmont Valley League.  The Eagles aren’t doing much better; they’re 3-2-1 too in the Grossmont Hills League, but 6-9-3 overall.
