February 28, 2023 (San Diego) -  The Aztec women’s basketball team (22-9, 12-6) closed out the regular season with a 60-51 win over Air Force (13-17, 8-10) inside Viejas Arena Tuesday night. With the win, SDSU finished in a tie for third in the Mountain West but will be the No. 5 seed due to tiebreakers.

February 26, 2023 (Newport Beach, Calif.) -  The No. 21-ranked San Diego State water polo team completed the four-game, three-day Barbara Kalbus Invitational with a 13-5 defeat at the hands of the No. 9 Michigan Wolverines on Sunday morning at Bergeson Aquatic Complex. The loss left the Aztecs (3-9) in 12th place in the weekend tournament.

February 25, 2023 (Albuquerque) -  Lamont Butler's 3-pointer at the buzzer gave No. 22 San Diego State a 73-71 win over New Mexico on Saturday.

After Jaelen House's steal and end-to-end run for a layup with 5.6 seconds left gave New Mexico a 71-70 lead, Butler unhurriedly brought the ball up court before dropping his shot, giving him 10 points for the Aztecs (23-5, 14-2 Mountain West).

February 25, 2023 (Las Vegas) - The Aztec women’s basketball team (21-9, 11-6) fell at No. 24/25 UNLV (27-2, 17-0) 65-59 Saturday afternoon.

Playing in front of a record-breaking crowd for UNLV, the Aztecs were led by Mercedes Staples’ 17 points, which included shooting 5-for-6 from three. Yummy Morris and Sophia Ramos each added 12 points apiece while Ramos surpassed 1,900 points for her career. Asia Avinger added seven points and six assists without committing a turnover in 37 minutes.

February 24, 2023 (Berkeley) - San Diego State women’s tennis fell to Cal on Friday afternoon at the Hellman Tennis Complex, 5-1. The match was initially delayed two hours due to inclement weather in the Berkeley, California area, so only singles matches were played on Friday afternoon.

February 24, 2023 (Irvine) - The No. 21 San Diego State water polo team played two good quarters, the first and fourth, against the No. 3 UCLA Bruins on Friday, at the first day of the 2023 Barbara Kalbus Invitational, being outscored 7-3, but in the second and third periods, the Bruins put the game out of reach, totaling 12 goals to the Aztecs two, in a 19-5 decision at Anteater Aquatic Center.
