RECALLS ON ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLES AND CHILDREN’S SCOOTERS

December 29, 2016 (Washington D.C.) – The Consumer Product Safety Commission today announced recalls on Polaris Sportsman 570 all-terrain vehicles due to fire hazard.  In addition Joyride children’s three-wheeled scooters have been recalled because of wheels that can detach, causing injury.  Below are full details.

ALPINE FIRE DEPARTMENT COLLECTING TOYS & GIFT CARDS FOR THE HOLIDAYS

December 17, 2012 (Alpine)--The Alpine Fire District will be accepting new, unwrapped toys for our local families who have fallen on hard times. Throughout the years, your generous donations have brought great joy to many children. The toy barrel is inside the foyer at the fire station located at 1364 Tavern Road. Please stop by and fill the barrel so we can brighten the holidays for the children of our community.

CHALDEAN LEADERS PRESENT 300 TOYS FOR NEEDY CHILDREN IN EL CAJON

December 13, 2012 (El Cajon) – Two community leaders,  Hani Daymia, President of the Chaldean American Association, and Ben Kalasho today donated 300 toys for children in East County to brighten their holiday season.

The Chaldean American Association is a social club located in El Cajon. Chaldean Americans represent 38% of El Cajon’s population, a segment that continues to grow each year. Daymia is the current president of the Chaldean American Association and has been a leading advocate for community involvement and outreach.

HELP LA MAESTRA’S TOY DRIVE BRIGHTEN THE HOLIDAYS THIS YEAR FOR THOUSANDS OF FAMILIES


December 12, 2011 (San Diego) -- La Maestra is preparing for its 19th Annual Holiday Toy & Gift Drive. Each December, La Maestra Community Health Centers and La Maestra Foundation partner to collect and distribute gifts to low-income families in communities, including nutritious food, household items, clothing and toys.
 
Beautiful Noble fir trees and Paul Ecke poinsettias will be sold in November and December to raise funds for La Maestra Foundation's community development programs and pre-orders are being taken now.

SANTA’S ON HIS WAY AT BATES NUT FARM CRAFTS FAIR NOV. 25-27

 November 15, 2011 (Valley Center) --  Bates Nut Farm will host the Annual Santa’s Coming-Craft Fair over Thanksgiving weekend. The Craft Fair will be open November 25, 26 and 27; Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Approximately 80 artisans will be selling a variety of handmade crafts and fine art, just in time to start your holiday shopping.

 
Jewelry, woodworking, candles, toys, fabric arts, and more will be available through vendors. Kids can enjoy face painting, Kids’n Paint, the farm zoo and kettle corn.
