CAL FIRE TO HOLD “FILL THE BOOT” CAMPAIGN TO HELP MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION DEC. 6-8

 

December 4, 2010 (San Diego’s East County) -- CAL FIRE/San Diego County Fire Authority in partnership with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) will be holding its annual Fill The Boot Drive to raise funds to battle this debilitating disease. Locations and times of East County locations where you can help “fill the boot” with donations are listed below:

FIREFIGHTERS ASK PUBLIC TO “FILL THE BOOT” FOR JERRY’S KIDS

 

August 25, 2010 (San Diego’s East County) – Local firefighters will be participating in the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s annual “Fill the Boot” campaign, raising money to help find a cure for the crippling disease. On September 2, watch for local firefighters stationed around the County to coincide with the annual Labor Day telethon hosted by actor Jerry Lewis for muscular dystrophy.

RAIN, SHOW HIT COUNTY, MORE FORECAST THROUGH THURSDAY

April 22, 2010 (San Diego’s East County) – A surprise late-season storm didn’t stop firefighters county-wide from participating in a “Fill the Boot” campaign to collect donations for the Burn Institute—but did make for some chilly conditions.

“Firefighters at the Cal Fire Julian Station braved the freezing temperature for hours,” said Cal Fire Battalion Chief Nick Schuler.
