10-ACRE FIRE IN LAKESIDE, ANOTHER FIRE IN RAMONA

August 21, 2010 (Lakeside) -- CAL FIRE is on scene of another brush fire on the north side of El Monte Road near the community of Lakeside (T.B. Map 1213 B6). The fire is currently 10 acres in size and burning at the base of El Cajon Mountain.

 

“ Currently we have eight engines, two fire crews, one bulldozer, two2 airtankers, two helicopter, andtwo chief officers,” Cal-Fire Captain Darryl Pina said. “The Air Tactics plane has ordered two additional air tankers and two additional helicopters and the Incident Commander has ordered a type one strike team of engines for a potential structure threat, and a heli-tanker.

 

Spread of another fire at Dye and Aquestrian in Ramona has been stopped, Incident Page Network reports.

 

Cause of today's brush fires remains under investigation.
