October 14, 2017 (San Diego’s East County) - The owners of The Hills in La Mesa and the Eastbound Bar and Grill in Lakeside are serving up some spooky fun--along with some wild libations, prizes and more this Halloween Season. From a cauldron of concoctions served in gravedigger skull mugs to a costume contest with a $10,000 prize, these local night spots have plenty of “treats” in store for their Halloween weekend guests.

Local Dive Holds $10,000 Costume Contest:

What’s Halloween without a scary good costume contest? Put on those devil ears and make your way to La Mesa’s The Hills on Saturday Oct. 28 for their Halloween House Party and the opportunity to win $10,000! The second annual costume contest starts at 8 p.m. with the best dressed chosen by crowd vote; so bring your friends! Voting tickets are given out with each drink ordered and the winner will be chosen at midnight with a chance to score $10,000. Last year’s winner took home the thousands, so make sure you’re ready for fame and fortune...well at least fortune!The party will continue all night long with drink specials on Smoky Witches Brew Jungle Juice and DJs spinning your favorite hits.

Eastbound Serves up Spooky Cocktails at Halloween House Party:

If you’re looking for Halloween cocktails to cheers to the holiday, Eastbound is your place. On Friday, Oct. 27, they will be serving up a cauldron of delicious recipes during their Halloween House Party! Their $5 Witches Brew will feature house jungle juice and dry ice. The $6 white and red "Zombie Apocalypse" Slushy with coconut flavors and a grenadine injection will be served in goblets and their $7 “Gravedigger" in a skull mug. Get ready to dance because DJ Petecaso will be spinning on the table from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.
