March 8, 2013 (Borrego Springs) -- "California's Secret Desert" will host the Circle of Art Show and Sale the third weekend in March. This FREE outdoor juried art show includes the quality work of over 60 artists.  Media include fine arts, oils and watercolors, photography, sculpture, pottery, ceramics, jewelry, and fabric art.  The artists will create and display their work beginning Saturday, March 16 at 9:00 a.m., and continue on Sunday, March 17 until 4:00 p.m.

Borrego Springs, the wildflower capital of California, is located in the middle of Anza Borrego Desert State Park, the largest state park in California.  This desert oasis in east San Diego County is a destination for many visitors and is the only certified "Dark Sky Community" in the state.

The Show sponsor is BASIC, a non-profit organization. Proceeds fund educational scholarships and programs in the Borrego area. For more information, see http://www.circle-of-art.org.

We made the correction.

Not the largest state park

Anza Borrego Desert State Park is not the largest state park in the nation. Not even close, Adirondack Park covers 6.1 million acres is the largest. Alaska has several million plus acre state parks.

Anza Borrego is the largest state park in CA and many Californians do believe CA is a separate nation, not covered by the US Constitution so maybe for them it is the largest?
