Tribes & Clans Competition also held
By Robert Gehr
March 15, 2015 (El Cajon)--This popular event held on Sunday, March 15th - was lively and very crowded with participants and spectators alike.
Many runners and walkers were there for the races, from older adults to teens and young kids. Some parents were running and pushing strollers with little ones going along for the ride.
Many medals were given out to the athletes at the end of the course, as well as prize money.
People were enjoying other activities as well. From the tribe competitions, to live Irish music or just hanging out talking with one another, it was an exciting, joyful place to be.
Health and fitness booths with displays were abundant. Many sponsors were on hand, showing and selling their products or services.
The ‘Craft Beer Garden’ was an instant hit as usual. By around nine O’clock in the morn’ this place was packed with revelers enjoying a refreshing, cold beer produced from the many brewers who were there offering their product.
I look forward to next year’s event.
