Branch manager Mimi Esshaki cuts ribbon at new Bank America in Rancho San Diego |
February 21, 2009 (Rancho San Diego) — Champagne, refreshments and visits
with firefighters welcomed visitors at the grand opening of Bank America's
new branch office at 2930 Jamacha Road in Rancho San Diego today.
"We started in a little tiny storefront in Albertsons," recalled Mimi Esshaki,
branch manager. "I grew up here and watched this area grow. We're
very excited to have this traditional banking center here."
At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Rancho San Diego-Jamul Chamber of Commerce
president Valerie Harrison presented a plaque to the newest member of the local
business community. "Businesses are slowing down all over, but we're
growing here in Rancho San Diego," Harrison said.

Esshaki praised Harrison. "We really appreciate the help and support of the
Rancho San Diego Chamber," she said.
Bank America is offering a $100 bonus for customers who open a new checking
account at the Rancho San Diego branch. Each time a purchase is made
using a Bank America check card, the bank will round up to the nearest
dollar and let customers "keep the change," which is transferred from the client's
checking to savings account.
