58 ARRESTED IN EAST COUNTY WARRANTS SWEEP

February 13, 2012 (San Diego’s East County) – The San Diego Sheriff’s Departments Court Services, Field Unit, conducted a warrant sweep yesterday in East County. The sweep included unincorporated areas in Alpine, El Cajon, Lakeside, La Mesa, and Santee.

The focus of the operation, was on the apprehension of suspects with outstanding misdemeanor and felony warrants. A total of 58 persons were arrested and 82 warrants were cleared.

Over the past several months, the San Diego Sheriff's Department has increased efforts in the apprehension wanted subjects and will continue to do so. “Persons who have outstanding warrants are encouraged to turn themselves in Monday - Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm at any one of the Sheriff's Court Facilities,” said Sergeant Dave Ross.
