July 10, 2012 (San Diego’s East County) – The County Medical Examiner’s office has identified victims of several accidents this week, including residents of El Cajon, Jamul, and Borrego Springs.
Roy Stewart Winslow, 59, of El Cajon died July 8 after his motorcycle struck a couch on westbound State Route 94 near I-15, ejecting him. He was struck by another motorcycle and pronounced dead shortly after arrival at a hospital.
Jamul resident Jake Forest Beetson, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident on Lyons Valley Road north of Campo Road in Jamul early on July 8. His vehicle crossed the center line, striking a road sign and a tree that fell. He was wearing a seatbelt, but died of multiple blunt force injuries.
Lisa Leann Teyechea, 49, of Borrego Springs, was killed in a crash July 7 on Montezuma Valley Road in Ranchita. While trying to pass a slower vehicle, her tire deflated, causing her to lose control and hit a utility pole. She died at the scene.
