September 11, 2019 (San Diego’s East County) – Alpine resident Kruize Alan Stockfelt, 18, died at the scene of a head-on crash Sunday morning in Ramona.

He was riding his motorcycle on Highland Valley Rd. west of Sky Valley Rd. when another motorist struck him head-on, according to the County Medical Examiner.

The driver, who was not injured, stopped and called 911, but law enforcement officers and medics were unable to revive Stockfelt

GoFundMe site has been set up to help his mother, April, with funeral expenses.

The site states, He was the epitome of a Southern California boy, blonde and blue-eyed, always with a smile on his face.  From a young age he loved to skateboard, surf and ride dirt bikes in the desert. Having just graduated from San Diego Charter School in June, he was headed off to Phoenix in a few weeks to turn his passion into a career - attending motorcycle mechanic school with a job already lined up for him upon certification... He will be remembered by so many for his big heart, kindness, cheerful attitude, adventurous spirit, laughter, and for his love of his family.”
