October 22, 2015 (Santee and Escondido)--Tellabration is a global celebration of the art of oral storytelling.  Storytelling is the conveying of events in words, images and sounds, often by improvisation or embellishment.  Stories or narratives have been shared in every culture as a means of entertainment, education, cultural preservation and in order to instill moral values.  Crucial elements of stories and storytelling include plot, characters and narrative point of view.

A smorgasbord of stories is awaiting you told by some of San Diego’s best professional tellers representing the Storytellers of San Diego - Linda Whiteside, Fred Laskowski, Aunt Li-Anne, Patti Christensen & James Nelson-Lucas, Mindy Donner, Mary Holma, Marilyn McPhie, and Jim Dieckmann will present traditional folk tales, literary works and original stories on two consecutive days both starting at 7:30 PM.
