ARMED ROBBERY AT LA MESA STORE

August 28, 2019 (La Mesa) – The PowerTech Wireless Store on University Avenue in La Mesa was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon around 2:25 p.m.

The gunman demanded cash from an employee and also stole cell phones and iPads before fleeing on foot.  The suspect, who was carrying a cardboard box, wore a gray hoodie, black jeans and black shoes. He appeared to be in his 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds, according to La Mesa Police.

A search was conducted with help from a San Diego Police Department helicopter, but the suspect was not located.
