ARREST MADE IN SANTEE FOR MURDER OF EL CAJON WOMAN FOUND DEAD IN TUOLUMNE COUNTY

September 20, 2010 (Santee) – Pete Frank Dominguez, 39, was arrested today in the 10200 block of Prospect Avenue in Santee by El Cajon Police in cooperation with investigators from the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office. Dominguez was arrested on an outstanding homicide warrant in the death of Christina Maria Pierce, formerly of El Cajon.

 

Pierce was reported missing by her mother on April 23, 2010. Investigators were led to the River Ranch Campground in Tuolumne County, after receiving information that Pierce had been living there with Dominguez. Pierce’s body was discovered on August 26, 2010, and the investigation into her death is ongoing, according to El Cajon Police Lt. S. Shakowski.

 

Dominguez has significant ties to San Diego, having lived in East County as well as the Ocean Beach areas. Anyone with information surrounding the death of Pierce is encouraged to contact Tuolumne County Detective Kelvin Moses, at (209)694-2900.
