December 19, 2017 (El Cajon) – El Cajon Police have arrested two adults and a juvenile in connection with the December 12th stabbing death of Kyle Khamphan and the attempted murder of a juvenile victim, says Lt. Rob Rainsweier, public information officer for ECPC.
Yesterday at 11:30 a.m., detectives from the ECPD crimes of violence unit stopped a vehicle traveling on State Route 125 that was occupied by a suspect wanted in connection to the December 12th stabbing death of Kyle Khamphan and the attempted murder of a juvenile victim. The arrestee, identified as Luis Mondragon (born March 22, 99, was interviewed and then booked into San Diego Central Jail on homicide related charges.
Detectives worked throughout the day and into the evening, serving multiple search warrants as they looked for evidence of the crime and the other two suspects. As a result, Francisco Meza (born August 19, 99) was arrested on homicide related charges and booked into San Diego Central Jail. A juvenile, 17 years of age was also arrested on homicide related charges and booked into Juvenile Hall.
At this time, it is believed that all of the suspects are in custody for this crime, but anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the El Cajon Police Department's Investigations Division at 619-579-3320.
