September 14, 2018 (Ramona) – Artist Chuck McPherson personally delivered his magnificent painting of Cedar Creek Falls to the lucky auction winner, Cindy Fuchser, at Lenora Winery in Ramona.  McPherson live-painted the artwork during East County Fest to benefit East County Magazine and the East County Wildfire and Emergency Alerts.

The artist along with a Ramona art student, Lynette Bredow, brought the painting to Lenora Winery last Wednesday and ultimately to the home of Lenora Winery owner Eric Metz and Fuchser.

We enjoyed dinner which Cindy had prepared, accompanied with Lenora Winery and Metz Winery wines,” said Metz. “During the evening, Chuck enlightened us with insights to the painting and his career in art. Chuck has won four hundred different awards in ten years of painting water colors. He has created and developed several painting techniques making his art unique. He shared some of those with us. Chuck made the point that this painting of Cedar Creek Falls was the first watercolor painting he has made using traditional watercolor techniques of leaving white areas without color or of any treatment from the very beginning of creating a painting.”

Cedar Creek Falls, one of San Diego County’s most popular hiking destinations, is located in Cleveland National Forest near Ramona.
