3rd annual holiday invitational art show runs through Jan. 14
November 28, 2010 (El Cajon) – The third annual Holiday Invitational Art Exhibit, featuring 32 artists and 190 pieces of artwork on exhibit, runs through January 14 at the St. Clair Gallery in El Cajon. On Sunday, December 5, an artists’ reception will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. The event, which includes wine and cheese, is free and open to the public.
The exhibition includes paintings, photography and mixed media works. Among the innovative creations are infrared photographic images by Eileen Mandell printed on metallic paper, revealing exquisite details in natural and architectural subjects, such as a sun flare and the Alcazar Gardens and Museum of Man in Balboa Park.
Paintings range from abstracts to impressionism and realism in oils, acrylics, pastels and more. Many photographic images by local and regional photographers are also on display.
St. Clair Gallery is located upstairs in the East County Business Center at 270 East Douglas Ave., El Cajon. For more information and to view a slideshow of images on exhibit, see www.stclairgallery.web.
