November 18, 2010 (El Cajon) – A coalition of artists calling themselves the 50/50 the group converted a vacant building at 140 East Main Street into a dynamic art gallery. A showing which opened last week has been extended for the full month of November.

The show, titled "Issue 2 - Ruins," contains conceptual artwork such as landscapes, still life, and portraits by six different artists. The theme of the show reveals the "ruins" of life that people deal with on both personal and global levels, and how we go about trying to fix them. The artwork is meant to evoke emotions and get the audience thinking about their own situations.

This exhibit is a must-see and has been extended through the end of November. Visit the 50/50 the group Facebook page for more information.
