April 21, 2014 (San Diego)-- Assemblymember Shirley N. Weber convenes the second of four hearings of the Assembly Select Committee on Campus Climate at the Educational Cultural Complex in San Diego, California on Friday, April 25 from 12-3 p.m.

The committee will examine system-wide and campus-wide policies at California colleges and universities with the goal of gaining insight to changes needed to prevent student harassment and hate crimes at California’s higher education institutions.  The hearing will also examine best practices of existing campus initiatives that are successfully addressing these issues.

In early 2014, Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez (D-Los Angeles) announced the creation of the Select Committee on Campus Climate and appointed Assemblymember Shirley N. Weber (D-San Diego) to serve as Chair.

The Education Cultural Complex Theater  is located at 4343 Ocean View Blvd., San Diego 92113.
